Inviting Team Members

Conformly is built for teams. Invite your engineers, safety managers, and quality leads to collaborate on the same workspace.
1

Open Workspace Settings

Navigate to Workspaces in the sidebar. Click on your workspace to expand the members panel.
2

Click Invite Member

Enter the invitee’s email address and select their role:
RoleBest for
ViewerStakeholders who need read-only access to findings and reports
EditorEngineers who upload documents, run analyses, and remediate findings
AdminTeam leads who manage members and workspace settings
3

Send the invitation

Conformly sends an invitation email with a one-click accept link. The invitation expires after 14 days. You can also copy the link directly and share it via your preferred channel.
The invitee creates an account (if they don’t have one) and is automatically added to your workspace with the assigned role.

Assigning Findings

When you open a finding in the Findings page, you can assign it to any workspace member:
  1. Click the Assign dropdown on the finding detail panel
  2. Select a team member from the list — it shows all workspace members by name and email
  3. The assignee receives an in-app notification alerting them to the assigned finding
To remove an assignment, select Unassigned from the dropdown. Assignments are visible in the findings list, so safety managers can quickly see who is responsible for which remediation items.

Setting Deadlines

Each finding can have a resolution deadline:
  1. Click the Set Deadline button on the finding detail panel
  2. A calendar picker opens — select the target date (past dates are disabled)
  3. The deadline appears next to the finding with a countdown
Overdue findings are flagged automatically. When a deadline passes without resolution:
  • The finding shows an overdue badge in the UI
  • The assigned user receives an email reminder (sent once per day, maximum)
  • Overdue findings appear in the What’s Blocking Us section on Audit Readiness

Notifications

Conformly sends notifications through two channels:

In-App Notifications

The bell icon in the top navigation bar shows your unread notification count. Click it to see:
  • Finding assigned to you — when a teammate assigns a finding to you
  • Gap overdue — when an assigned finding passes its deadline
  • Analysis complete — when a background analysis finishes
You can mark individual notifications as read or use Mark all as read to clear them.

Email Notifications

Conformly sends email notifications for key events:
EventWhen it’s sent
Workspace invitationWhen someone invites you to a workspace
Analysis completeWhen a compliance analysis finishes — includes the score and critical/high finding counts
Overdue gap reminderWhen an assigned finding passes its deadline — sent once per day until resolved
Email notifications are sent automatically. They include direct links back to the relevant finding or workspace in Conformly.

Discussion Threads

Every finding has a built-in discussion thread where your team can collaborate:
  1. Open any finding from the Findings page
  2. Scroll to the Discussion section at the bottom
  3. Type your comment and press Cmd+Enter (or click Send)
Use discussions to:
  • Ask questions about a finding before starting remediation
  • Document the rationale for accepting a finding as known risk
  • Coordinate with other team members on complex fixes
  • Record decisions for audit trail purposes
Comments are timestamped and attributed to the author. They persist as part of the finding’s history.

The AI Chat Assistant

Every analysis includes an AI chat assistant that understands your findings in context:
  1. Click Ask AI on any finding, or open the chat panel from the sidebar
  2. Ask questions like:
    • “What are the critical findings?”
    • “How do I fix this gap?”
    • “Write remediation text for this finding”
    • “What does ISO 26262 Part 5 require here?”
The assistant has full context of your analysis results, findings, and document content. When you ask it to generate remediation text, it produces a copyable block you can paste directly into your document.

Exporting Reports

Generate a structured compliance assessment report from the Audit Readiness page:
  1. Click Export Report in the top-right corner
  2. The report is generated using AI-written narrative grounded in your actual findings
  3. A new browser tab opens with the report — use Print > Save as PDF to download
The report includes:
  • Cover page with document control metadata
  • Table of contents
  • Executive summary with compliance score
  • Scope and methodology
  • Prioritised findings with evidence quotes
  • Risk assessment matrix by standard
  • Actionable recommendations with timeframes
